Risk & Vulnerability Map

About This Data

This interactive map visualizes county-level risk and vulnerability data from multiple authoritative sources. Data includes FEMA's National Risk Index (NRI), which quantifies natural hazard risk and expected annual losses, and the Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) from CDC/ATSDR, which identifies communities most vulnerable to disasters.

Switch between three map types: Disaster Risk Map (current hazard exposure), Social Vulnerability Map (community resilience factors), and Future Risk Map (projected climate impacts). Filter by specific disaster types and risk metrics to analyze vulnerability patterns across all U.S. counties.

Click on any county to view detailed risk data including hazard scores, expected annual losses, and vulnerability metrics.
